You would need someone with a 4×4, or you could maybe arrange a transfer with the place you guys are staying. Most places offer a transfer for a price. Otherwise Isaac, the guy who does the transfers from the border might do it if you arranged beforehand. Ponto is busy over New Years and a lot of people party all night long and sleep where they fall down. Either drive into ponto and sleep in the car if need be and head back in the morning, or arrange with the resort. Don’t walk. We tried it once… Way too far.

Headed there in December. Wanted to ask you- how does one get from Ponta Malongane to Ponta do Ouro? Thinking how if we were to party on New Years Eve how on earth we will get back home. We will be staying half way to Ponta Malongane. Any tips? Suggestions? Ideas? Please also email me if you can.
